Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask about CharPix. Something missing? Ask us directly.

What is CharPix?

CharPix is an AI image generator built around one idea: consistent characters. You describe your character, generate a portrait you love, lock it — and every image after that keeps the same face, hairstyle, and art style, in any scene you imagine.

How does the face consistency work?

When you lock a portrait, CharPix saves it as your character's base image. Every later generation sends that base image to the model as a visual reference along with your scene prompt, so the face, hair, and style carry over instead of being re-rolled each time. No model training, no technical setup — it just works from the app. Read the deep dive.

Is CharPix free?

Yes, to start. Every new account gets 10 free images, no card required. After that, credits are sold in one-time packs: $4.90 for 60 images or $9.90 for 150 images. Credits never expire and there is no subscription.

Do I own the images I generate?

Yes. Images you generate are yours, for personal or commercial use — our Terms of Service state this explicitly. We claim no ownership over your images, prompts, or character descriptions.

Can I bring my Character AI character?

Yes. Copy your character's definition or greeting — especially anything describing their appearance — and paste it into CharPix as the character description. The more visual detail you include (hair, eyes, build, style), the closer the portrait will match the character in your head. We wrote a step-by-step guide.

Do credits expire? Is there a subscription?

Credits never expire, and there is no subscription — every purchase is a one-time PayPal payment. You will never be charged automatically.

What is the refund policy?

Within 14 days of purchase: unused packs are fully refundable, partially used packs are refunded for the unused portion. Credits lost to technical failures are always restored, with no time limit. Full details in our Refund Policy.

Is my data private?

We collect only what's needed to run the service: your Google sign-in email, your content, and PayPal order IDs. Analytics are cookieless (GoatCounter). We never sell data, show ads, or train models on your content, and you can request full deletion any time. See the Privacy Policy.
